NextUp builds public recruiting profile pages for youth soccer players so college coaches and recruiters can find, evaluate, and contact them. NextUp is a PeakSync product, operated by PeakSync LLC (“NextUp,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, what we publish and why, who can see it, and how a family can change or remove a profile at any time. It covers nextup.peak-sync.com, every player profile and team page we host, and our order, intake, and contact forms.
1.The short version
- A NextUp profile is a public recruiting page. Anyone with the link can see it, and search engines may list it. That’s the point: college coaches need to find and reach players.
- Player email addresses are shown on profiles on purpose. A profile can show the player’s email address so coaches can contact the player directly, as college recruiting expects. We publish it only with a parent’s or legal guardian’s consent, and with the player’s own consent when the player is 13 or older. For players under 13, we publish a parent’s email instead, unless the parent specifically opts in to showing the child’s own email.
- Players under 13 get extra protection. We collect and publish nothing about them without verifiable parental consent (see section 4).
- Families stay in control. A parent or guardian can update any field, remove contact details, make the profile unlisted, or take the whole profile down at any time (see section 7).
- We don’t sell personal information and don’t use it for targeted advertising.
- Privacy contact: PeakSync LLC, jerry@peak-sync.com.
2.What we collect and why
| Who provides it | What we collect | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Parent or guardian (order form) | Parent name, email, and phone; player name and age group; club and coach details for Club Pack orders; any notes | To process the order and contact the family about it |
| Parent or guardian (intake form), with the player’s input for players 13+ | Player photo, positions, club and team, class year, height and other measurables, video and social media links, story and milestones, player contact email, parent email, and the consent confirmations in section 3 | To build and publish the recruiting profile the family asked for |
| Gumroad (our payment processor) | Confirmation of payment and the name and email used at checkout. We never see or store full card numbers | To match payment to the order, and as part of parental consent for players under 13 |
| Coaches, recruiters, and other visitors (packet request and contact forms) | Name, email, school or organization, and the message sent | To deliver the message to the player and family, and to reply |
| Club coaches (Club Pack, if they confirm details) | Name, club, role, and the details they confirm (e.g. roster, position, class year) | To show which details a club coach has confirmed |
| Everyone, automatically | IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referring site, collected by our host (Cloudflare) and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies | Security, fixing problems, and counting overall visits |
Please don’t send us Social Security numbers, medical or injury records, immigration status, home addresses, or exact birth dates. We don’t need them and won’t publish them.
3.What we publish, and the consent behind it
A profile shows only the fields the family provided and approved. Depending on what the family chooses, that can include:
- Name, photo, positions, club and team, class year, height and other measurables
- Highlight and match video links, social media links, story, and milestones
- The player’s email address and a contact form that delivers to it, so coaches can reach the player directly (for players under 13, a parent’s email instead, unless the parent opts in)
- A parent or guardian contact (email or form), if the family chooses
- A “confirmed by club coach” note on specific details, if a club coach has confirmed them. We show a club coach’s name or contact only with that coach’s permission.
Why contact information is public
College recruiting runs on direct contact between coaches and athletes, and recruiting rules set when coaches may contact athletes (for example, NCAA Division I women’s soccer coaches may begin recruiting contact on June 15 after the athlete’s sophomore year; NCSA summary of NCAA rules). Showing the player’s email address on the profile is intentional: it is a deliberate choice the family makes so that coaches can contact the player and respond.
Consent we require before publishing contact information
| Player’s age | Consent required |
|---|---|
| 18 or older | The player’s own consent |
| 13 to 17 | A parent’s or legal guardian’s consent and the player’s own agreement |
| Under 13 | Verifiable parental consent as described in section 4. By default we publish the parent’s or guardian’s email, not the child’s. We publish a child’s own email only if the parent specifically opts in to it. |
We record who consented and when. Withdrawing consent removes the contact details (or the whole profile) as described in section 7.
What we never publish
Home address, phone numbers of players, school class schedules, exact birth date, or government ID numbers.
Things to know about public pages
Once a page is public, people may save, screenshot, or share it, and we can’t pull back copies made by others. Publishing an email address can also attract unwanted messages. We recommend using a dedicated recruiting email address that a parent can also monitor, and we’ll replace or remove it any time on request.
4.Players under 13 (children’s privacy)
We follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC’s COPPA Rule, as amended (in full effect since April 22, 2026; Federal Register).
- We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13. Only a parent or legal guardian may order, submit intake information, or approve publication for a player under 13.
- Verifiable parental consent comes first. Before we collect or publish anything about a player under 13, the parent or guardian (a) completes a paid checkout in their own name, which notifies the account holder of the transaction, and (b) signs our consent form confirming they are the parent or legal guardian and agreeing to the specific information that will be published, including any contact details. For Club Pack players whose parent or guardian didn’t pay directly, the parent or guardian instead returns our signed consent form by email together with an identity check before anything is collected or published.
- Separate consent for public posting. Because a profile is public, the parent’s consent must specifically cover publishing the child’s information. By default, an under-13 profile shows the parent’s or guardian’s email as the contact, not the child’s; the child’s own email appears only if the parent specifically opts in. A parent can also keep the profile unlisted or keep contact details off it.
- Parents’ rights. A parent may at any time review the information we hold about their child, have it corrected or deleted, and refuse further collection or publication, without losing the rest of the service where that’s possible. Contact us as described in section 7.
- Data minimization and retention. We collect only what the profile needs, and we delete a child’s information when the profile is removed (see section 9).
- If we learn we collected information about a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we’ll take it offline and delete it promptly.
5.How we use information
- To build, host, update, and support profiles and team pages
- To deliver coach and recruiter messages to the player and family
- To process payments and send service emails about the order
- To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems
- To count overall site visits and improve NextUp
- To comply with the law
We don’t send marketing to players under 13, build advertising profiles, or use a player’s name, photo, or likeness in NextUp’s own ads or social media without separate written permission from the parent (and the player, if 13 or older).
7.Updating or removing a profile
A parent or legal guardian (or a player who is 18 or older) can at any time:
- Update any field, photo, video, or contact detail
- Remove contact details while keeping the profile up
- Make the profile unlisted, so it’s reachable only by people who have the link and isn’t listed in search engines or the NextUp directory
- Take the profile down and delete the information we hold
How: email jerry@peak-sync.com from the email address used to order, with “Update my profile” or “Remove my profile” in the subject, or use the “Update or remove this profile” link at the bottom of every profile. If you didn’t place the order, we’ll verify you’re the parent or guardian before acting.
Timing: contact-detail removals and takedowns within 2 business days; other updates within 5 business days. We’ll ask search engines to drop removed pages, but their caches may take time to clear.
8.Coaches and recruiters
College coaches and recruiters may view profiles for free. When contacting a player, please follow the recruiting contact rules that apply to your division and the player’s age, and copy the parent or guardian contact where one is listed. Don’t copy profile information in bulk, add it to other databases, or use it for anything other than evaluating and recruiting the player. Report misuse to jerry@peak-sync.com.
9.How long we keep information
- Active profiles: while the profile is live
- After removal: taken offline within 2 business days and deleted from our systems within 30 days (backups within 90 days)
- Intake files not used on a profile: deleted within 90 days
- Coach and visitor messages: up to 12 months
- Order and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires
10.Security
We use HTTPS, limit who can access submitted information, and rely on established providers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
11.Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can ask to access, correct, or delete your information or your child’s, and to stop publication of a profile. California residents may also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights to know, delete, and correct, to opt out of sale or sharing (we don’t sell or share), and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. Send requests to jerry@peak-sync.com with “Privacy request” in the subject; you may use an authorized agent. We’ll respond within 45 days, and faster for profile removals (section 7).
12.Changes to this policy
We’ll post any change here with a new date. For material changes that affect how we publish or use player information, we’ll email the parents of active profiles before the change takes effect.
